Filterwerk Mann & Hummel GmbH

Nothing special about three-story brick headquarters of Filterwerk Mann & Hummel. Located in the downtown area of Ludwigsburg, this company got its start back in 1941 making automobile filters. Filterwerk Mann & Hummel still makes filters along with intake manifolds and metering & mixing systems.

Waltrud Loeffler, secretary to CEO Roland Kankowsky, graciously takes the time to answer questions and give me a quick walk about. The company leases a small portion of space in this former factory site. The company has only a handful of employees here but, have an overall total of 1,500. Checking out CEO Kankowsky's second floor middle office I make note of the laptop and unexciting view of the building across the way.
