I've been taking a break from visiting corporate headquarters and instead have been cycling to ski resorts, spa towns, castles and fortifications in France, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. Such fun was had that I'll be doing more of the same in 2012. Is there a connection between ski resorts and the corporate world? Many resorts and their hotels are venues for hosting company seminars, retreats for senior management, as well as staging employee "bonding" outings. Companies, via corporate incentive programs, also reward employees with trips to ski resorts for reaching sales targets.
